Shipping/Receiving

What shipping services does the campus post office offer?

The campus post office offers inbound/outbound shipping with FedEx, UPS, and the United States Postal Service (USPS).

FedEx and UPS have self-help services online where students can print labels and prepay in preparation for shipping. Campus

Departments need to bring boxes prepared for shipping with account information and delivery time requirements.  Postal staff

will rate shop your package to get you the service and time levels you need at the least expensive cost to your department.

When do carriers typically arrive on campus?

Carrier times vary depending on their route schedule.  Typically USPS is on campus by 9a, FedEx Express

by 10a, UPS by noon, and FedEx early afternoon.  Amazon comes throughout the day as drivers are coming from different

warehouses.  While these times can vary, they are good to keep in mind if you are looking to use one of these services for outbound packages.

My tracking shows my package has arrived.  When can I pick it up?

Students: When items arrive on campus the staff needs time to process them into the locker system.  At the beginning of

semesters when traffic is heavy it may be up to 24 hours before you receive notification that a package is in the locker.  With

2500 packages coming in a single day during this time of year, even with extra hours and staffing it just takes time to process all

inbound packages. Please be patient and watch your email for a notification from the campus post office.

Fac/Staff: Items will be delivered the day after they are received for those on the delivery route.  Please feel free to come to the

post office during normal business hours if you need something before the next scheduled delivery. Those not on the delivery

route will receive an email notification once internal processing is complete.

When is the loading dock open for receiving?

Loading dock hours are 8-4 Monday - Friday except for holidays or hours when the university is shut down.  We encourage

you to call ahead when you know a delivery is coming so that we are prepared, especially if the delivery should not be dropped at the loading dock.

Can I drop off a return with a preprinted label at the campus post office?

Yes, if have a preprinted label, we can send the item back for you. Your package needs to be ship ready when you bring it to the

campus post office.  If you are doing an Amazon return with a QR code, you will need to take this to the UPS store as we do not

have the technology needed to generate a label with this QR code.

Where can I get a box to shop my item(s)?

You can check the blue recycling bins near the package lockers to see if there is something there.

We also have vendor-specific mailers at the post office which may meet your shipping requirements.

I had something shipped to Cedarville in error.  Can I have it forwarded?

Due to credit card security, we do not take payments for forwarding via phone.
